wet scrubbers
BIONIK wet scrubbers are used in gas and exhaust air purification to prepare the medium to be purified for the subsequent biological process or, in simpler applications, to solve an exhaust air problem directly.
In addition to a high separation efficiency and reliable operation, BIONIK wet scrubbers are characterised by a robust design suitable for industrial use and a high degree of user-friendliness.
In the wet scrubber, the gaseous medium is moistened to the saturation limit by spraying in liquid. Substances from the gaseous phase are absorbed in the liquid phase and the particles carried in the gas are washed out.
Conventional wet scrubbers with (neutral) scrubbing water, chemical scrubbers with diluted acids or alkalis as scrubbing liquid or biological scrubbers in which pollutants are eliminated in complex biological processes are used.
BIONIK exhaust air scrubbers are suitable in biological exhaust air purification for humidifying the exhaust air, for dust separation and for absorbing easily water-soluble exhaust air components (e.g. VOCs such as isopropanol or Ethanol). In contrast to air scrubbers, gas scrubbers are used to treat process gases or to clean exhaust gases from industrial processes.
Adapted to the special project conditions, BIONIK wet scrubbers are supplied in vertical or horizontal design with round or rectangular cross-section. In the case of high levels of pollution, multi-stage solutions are also implemented. Depending on the medium and application, stainless steel or plastics such as PE, PP or GRP are used as materials for the BIONIK wet scrubbers. In suitable applications, the separation efficiency of the wet scrubbers can be significantly increased by installing special packings.
BIONIK wet scrubbers are equipped with all the devices required for their function. All components of the wet scrubbers are easily accessible for maintenance. BIONIK wet scrubbers are supplied turnkey with C&I equipment on customer request and are suitable for fully automatic operation.
